CHAPTER 1

Two Greedy Sons Threw Their Elderly Father Out On The Street In Front Of The Entire Town And Told Him To Starve… But When A Black SUV Pulled Up And A Strange Billionaire Saw The Old Man’s Watch, He Ordered Every Door Locked.

Arthur had worked for forty-five years at the local steel mill to pay off the white farmhouse at the end of Elm Street. When his health finally began to fail, his two grown sons, Marcus and David, convinced him to sign the deed over to them. They promised to take care of him. They promised he would never have to worry again.

But the ink on the legal papers had barely dried before the locks were changed.

It happened on a busy Saturday afternoon, right as the neighborhood was gathering for a weekend block party. Marcus didn’t just ask his father to leave. He dragged Arthur’s meager belongings out to the curb in black plastic trash bags.

When the old man protested, trying to hold onto a small box of photographs, his own son shoved him hard enough that Arthur stumbled backward and fell onto the unforgiving pavement.

“You gave us the house, old man! Now get out of here!” Marcus yelled, his voice echoing down the street. “We’re selling this dump. You’re not our problem anymore.”

The cruelty was staggering. Neighbors who had known Arthur for decades stopped in their tracks. Some whispered. Some turned away in shame. But no one stepped forward. Marcus was the town’s wealthiest private contractor, a local bully who intimidated everyone around him.

Arthur sat in the dirt, his hands shaking as he pulled his thin coat tight around his shoulders. He had nothing left. His heart shattered right there on the concrete.

Then everything went sideways.

A massive, custom black SUV turned onto Elm Street. It didn’t just drive past. It swerved sharply, braking hard and blocking Marcus’s expensive truck in the driveway.

The neighborhood went dead quiet.

A man stepped out of the back seat. He wore a tailored suit that cost more than most of the cars on the street. He carried an air of absolute authority. He was Thomas Sterling, a billionaire developer who had just bought the entire commercial district of the town—a man who possessed the power to make or break anyone in the county.

Marcus immediately changed his posture. He slicked back his hair, put on a fake, eager smile, and walked toward the billionaire, ready to network. He assumed the powerful man was lost, or perhaps looking to buy the farmhouse property.

But the billionaire wasn’t looking at Marcus.

He was looking down at the dirt.

When Arthur had fallen, a small object had slipped out of his torn coat pocket. It was an old, heavy silver pocket watch, deeply scratched and missing its chain. It lay in the dust, gleaming faintly in the afternoon sun.

It was a detail nobody else cared about. But that one detail changed the whole room.

The billionaire stopped walking. His confident stride vanished. His eyes locked onto the watch, and his face went completely pale.

The silence hit harder than any scream.

Marcus, oblivious to the shift in the air, laughed nervously. “Don’t mind the trash in the road, Mr. Sterling. I’m just clearing out a squatter.”

The billionaire didn’t answer. He didn’t even look at Marcus.

He slowly walked past the arrogant son, completely ignoring his outstretched hand. He knelt directly in the dirt, ruining his expensive suit, and picked up the battered silver watch with trembling fingers.

He turned the watch over. He read the faded engraving on the back.

The look on his face said more than any confession could.

The powerful man swallowed hard. He looked at the frail, shivering old man sitting on the pavement.

“Where did you get this?” the billionaire asked, his voice shaking.

Arthur looked up, tears in his pale eyes, but before he could speak, Marcus stepped forward aggressively.

“Hey! I’m talking to you! Who do you think you are—”

The billionaire finally turned his head. His eyes were cold, terrifying, and filled with a sudden, absolute rage.

“Shut your mouth,” the billionaire commanded. The air changed before anyone said another word. “Take one more step, and I swear you will lose everything you own by midnight.”

Marcus froze. His confidence cracked like thin ice under a boot.

May you like

The billionaire pulled out his phone.

Nobody on that street was ready for what came next.
