Part 4: The House Finally Belonged to the Right Person

Daniel turned toward his mother.

He gently pulled out the largest chair at the head of the dining table.

The seat that had once belonged to his late father.

"Mom."

"This seat has always been yours."

Tears rolled down the elderly woman's cheeks.

She slowly sat down.

For the first time in years...

She ate at her own family's table.

The guests quietly stood.

One by one, they applauded.

Not for wealth.

Not for power.

For dignity.

Daniel then faced the elegant woman one final time.

"You didn't lose this home today."

"You lost it the day you forgot how to treat my mother."

Security quietly escorted her toward the front entrance.

She never looked back.

The dining room became peaceful again.

Daniel filled his mother's bowl himself.

Just as she had done for him countless nights when he was a little boy.

The elderly woman smiled through her tears.

"I never needed a mansion," she whispered.

"I only wanted my son."

Daniel held her hand.

"And you'll never have to eat alone again."

Outside, the mansion lights glowed warmly against the evening sky.

Inside, a mother's place at the family table had finally been restored.
