Chapter 1

Chapter 2: The Engraving Beneath the Carbon Fiber
Elias ran his fingers across the hidden marking. His breathing slowed. “That’s impossible.” The director immediately stepped closer. “Sir?” Elias pointed at the engraving. It consisted of only two letters and a date. Yet the sight of it visibly shook him. “Who worked on this car?” he asked. The manager quickly answered. “A restoration specialist from Chicago.” Elias stood abruptly. “Get me his name.” Madison watched the exchange with growing confusion. This was no longer about a luxury car. Something much deeper was happening. Minutes later, the manager returned with a file. Elias opened it. The photograph attached to the paperwork caused his hand to tremble. “No…” he whispered. The technician’s name was Michael Reyes. A man declared dead fifteen years earlier. Madison noticed the change immediately. “You know him?” Elias looked up slowly. “He was my brother.” The entire showroom froze. Elias had spent years believing Michael died in a warehouse fire that destroyed their family business. Yet someone using his name had worked on this car only three weeks ago. Then Elias discovered a folded note hidden inside the file. Four handwritten words. Meet me before midnight. Beneath the message was an address on the edge of the city.
