Chapter 3

Chapter 4: The Name on the List

Black SUVs surrounded the warehouse within seconds. Michael’s face immediately tightened. “They found me.” Men in dark suits poured from the vehicles. Elias grabbed the flash drive and turned toward his brother. “Who are they?” Michael’s expression turned grim. “The same people who destroyed our family.” The brothers escaped through a rear exit and raced into the rain-soaked docks. Madison followed, terrified but unable to turn back. Hours later, they finally found temporary shelter inside an abandoned boathouse. There, Elias inserted the flash drive into a laptop. Hundreds of files appeared. Financial records. Photographs. Secret agreements. Evidence of crimes spanning decades. Then he opened a folder labeled FIRE. Inside was a single document. The list of people responsible. Michael watched silently as Elias read the names one by one. Then Elias suddenly stopped. His face went pale. Madison leaned closer. “What is it?” Elias couldn’t speak. He simply turned the screen toward them. The final name on the list belonged to someone both of them knew. Someone respected. Someone powerful. Someone who had welcomed Elias into the Bugatti showroom many times before. The showroom director. And according to the documents, he hadn’t merely covered up the fire. He had been the one who ordered it.
